Egg production in the Moscow Region rose 3.7% to 207 million eggs in 2025

In 2025, egg production in the Moscow Region reached 207 million eggs, 7.3 million or 3.7% more than in 2024. Regional production includes all types of eggs: hatching, chicken, quail and guinea-fowl eggs.

The Moscow Region Ministry of Agriculture and Food reported that 13 agricultural enterprises operate in the region’s poultry sector, eight of them specializing in hatching and table eggs. Growth is also supported by major investment projects. For example, construction of Belyanka LLC’s chicken-egg complex in Kashira is scheduled for completion in 2026. Its capacity is estimated at 525 million eggs per year.

Total investment amounts to RUB 6 billion, and 300 new jobs will be created once the complex enters service.

The Moscow Region is paying particular attention to egg-product processing, which offers high added value and significant export potential. Kaya-Trade plans to build an egg-processing plant in Chekhov. Its annual capacity will be 250 tonnes of boiled eggs, 300,000 packages of processed eggs and 500,000 litres of melange. Investment will exceed RUB 200 million, and production is scheduled to start in 2028. New infrastructure and modern processing technologies will support steady sector growth and improve product competitiveness both domestically and abroad.
