An investor plans to begin implementing a project in June to build a poultry complex specializing in egg production in Sergiyev Posad, Moscow Region. The information was provided by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The investor will commit around RUB 5 billion to the project. The funds will be used to build five production sites. By 2025, the new enterprise will be able to replace half of the breeding products supplied to the region.
Deputy Prime Minister Georgy Filimonov believes the project being launched will improve food security both in the region and across Russia. The enterprise will benefit domestic poultry producers by freeing them from dependence on imported supplies. Commissioning the complex will create around 200 permanent jobs.
