The enterprise will be established in the village of Labino, Yurginskoye District, the regional Duma reported.
Nine sites are planned: three for young birds and six for the parent flock. Ruskom previously opened a large turkey-meat production enterprise in Yurginskoye District.
The main objective is egg production.
“The broiler breeding farm is designed to produce more than 38 million hatching eggs per year. The company says that moving away from the old facilities will enable it to supply hatching eggs both to its own production operation and for sale to other companies. This is truly significant,” said regional Duma deputy Yury Konev.
The launch of a breeding-turkey farm was reported earlier. There are plans to establish exports of finished products to other countries and regions.
Governor Alexander Moor previously stated that the company’s high-technology and knowledge-intensive projects needed support.
“We will do everything possible to ensure that they are implemented within the intended timeframe. This will enable Tyumen Region to become a leader in these new areas of development of our country’s agro-industrial complex,” the regional governor noted.
